First Year Baby Book

As I am prepping for the arrival of baby girl (about a month and a half left!!), one of the things I’m so excited to do for her is her one-year book.

When Titan was born, I debated how to do his monthly photos (that were all taken by me), to show how he is growing. There are so many cute ideas, like onesies with the month written on them, or using baby blocks in the photos, but I decided to go a little different route.

I got Titan this stuffed animal bear (who we now affectionately call, “Bear”) that I only got out once a month for his monthly mommy photo shoot, so that he will be able to see how big he was compared to Bear. On his first birthday, we had photos done in a studio, and he got Bear to keep. Now Bear sleeps in bed with Titan every night.

I also write down notes of milestones or events that happen in a Word document once or twice a month, so I compiled these into monthly summaries for Titan of what happened during his first year. I still keep up with my “journal”, but it was fun to put everything from his first year into the book.

Titan LOVES reading his book and looking at all the photos of him and Bear. I have also been using it to teach Titan the kinds of things baby girl will be able to do when she is first born, and about when she will be able to do new things, like sit up on her own.

I’ve already got baby girl’s animal picked out (spoiler alert: it’s a bunny), and I can’t wait to see her grow outside of my belly.

Any ideas of more fun things I can do to commemorate my littles?

Kisses,
Brunette
