Lately I have been trying to find new ways to eat healthy that is easy and tasty. It drives me crazy to just eat chicken and brown rice but from a friendly suggestion from my sister I tried Freshly. It is a new company that sends you pre-cooked healthy meals to your door. For your first time you get 6 meals for $30 and the meals are less than 500 calories, healthy, gluten free, no perservatives and some of them are paleo. So how does it work? Well you sign up and get to pick through a few different meals from breakfast to lunch and dinner meals. You then pick a date that the meals get delivered to your door and they are refrigerated not frozen.  When the box comes it’s heavily packed with ice and it keeps the food really cold.

The food is cutely boxed and gives clear instructions that state how to reheat the food. So how does it taste?

Honesty it was good. I tried the Turkey dinner and I ate the whole thing as you can see.

-Its yummy well-seasoned food.

-Fast, easy, healthy food and you don’t have to cook it.

-It’s expensive, after your first time offer of $30 it goes up to $69. That’s around $11 a meal but it’s all about your priorities with money. When you go out to lunch some places are more or a little less.

-It doesn’t have preservatives so that means it expires quickly.

Regardless of pros and cons the real question is will I continue getting Freshly meals? Honestly, it depends on how I feel when it comes to cooking. Maybe I’ll order once a month or every other month but it’s a little too expensive for me to keep doing all the time. But you should check it out and let me know how it goes!
