When this month’s Stitch Fix showed up on my doorstep, I have to admit that I felt a little guilty getting it so close to Christmas. My intent was to bump the date out a little bit, but with the holiday madness it slipped my mind. My guilt got buried, though, when I found my new favorite sweater hiding in my box.
What I Wanted
In my note to my stylist I specifically asked for a pair of lighter jeans and some prints because I have a lot of solids in my closet.
What I Got
Margaret M Emer Jacquard Print High Waisted Cropped Pant – I included a close-up of the print and no, it doesn’t have that weird pinkish tone to it. I think my lovely new rose gold phone cover is casting that glow. These fit impeccably and wear well (I should know, one of my favorite pairs of work pants is this same style in a different color).
RD Style Analisa Twisted Seam Pull-Over Sweater- Or a.k.a my new favorite cozy, feel like I am cuddling up with a blanket all day long sweater. The picture doesn’t do the gray blue color justice.
Bay to Baubles Dallas Geo Pendant Necklace- It’s chunky and adorable.
Daniel Rainn Bilson Pleat Detail Blouse- I asked for a print and next to stripes, polka dots are my favorite. I love the color and that it comes with a built in cami but I just couldn’t shake the fact that it looks eerily similar to a maternity shirt I wore.
Skies are Blue York Tile Print Roll-Tab Blouse- I really like this silhouette, so much in fact that I have two shirts that are a very close styling, just in different prints.
My new stylist, Andi (hello, Andi!) let me know in her note to me that the jeans they currently have in my size are all darker, so rather than send me something I specifically didn’t want, she tried a different pair of pants.
What I kept
And the winners were… Analisa Twisted Seam Pull-Over Sweater and the Geo Pendant Necklace.
I guess when I told my stylist that I wanted more prints in my wardrobe what I really meant was I will probably pick the one unprinted item that you sent me. I couldn’t help myself, though, I love the coziness of the sweater and this shade blue is one of my favorites. The other items, though adorable, were too similar to things I already have hanging in my closet. So yes, they are great pieces, just not for me right now.
I know I will be able to pair the Geo Pendant necklace with so many things because the combination of gold and silver makes it pretty versitile.
Overall, I would say this fix was a win. I didn’t keep as much as I have in the past, but I found my new favorite sweater and didn’t have to set foot in a mall.
