DIY Christmas Pillow Covers

I’m really getting into this holiday decorating thing (previously mentioned in my Halloween post and evidenced in my Thanksgiving craft post). Due to my tiny living space, and even smaller budget, there are not many things I can do to decorate without making things look cluttered so making new Christmas themed pillow covers is perfect! They just Christmas-ify my existing pillows.

All you need is some cute Christmas fabric and matching thread. Most accent pillows are 18 inches x 18 inches so you will have enough fabric if you buy 2/3 yard. I got mine from Hobby Lobby and it was 30% off so I spent less than $10 for all 3 of my pillows.

1. Pre-wash fabric

2. Cut 3 pieces of fabric (front = 19″x19″ and two back pieces = 19″x12″ each)

3. Hem one 19 inch side of each of the two back pieces

4. Lay the front piece down, right side up, and then line up the two back pieces so they are right side down, hems face inward and overlap. (Make sure all the right sides of the fabric are facing inwards)

5. Pin and sew

6. Turn right-side out and insert pillow

Hope you enjoy! And get ready for more crafts to come!

Girl how cute is that rain deer fabric?! I love it! These are so cute!!! I might have to do this with my pillows. I’ve been wanting to christmas-ify our tiny space too and have had zero ideas/motivation to do so. But I just started on a Christmas quilt so maybe I’ll do pillow covers to match!
