The Rosie Project

One of my favorite hobbies is reading, I know everyone reads nowadays but seriously guys I love reading. I probably average about 3 to 5 books a week depending on how busy I am. I’m also the type of person that has to finish the book in one sitting because I’m an impatient person and I need to know the ending. Most nights I eventually get to bed by 1am.

I’m part of a spectacular book club which my fellow Three Whims are a part of. Last month I hosted book club and picked The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion. First off I love love love this book. The plot in a nut shell is about a genetics professor Don Tillman, who comes off with a personality mixed between Sheldon from the big bang theory and Sherlock Holmes from the modern version of Sherlock.

Essentially he befriends an elderly woman who states that he would be a great husband for any lucky girl. This gets Don thinking and he becomes resolved in finding a wife and creates a quiz in which he gives to women to see if they would be a good compatible wife for him. He then meets Rosie who of course doesn’t meet any of his criteria of a compatible wife and begins a friendship trying to help find her biological father.  It’s a hilarious book filled with great one liner’s, lovable characters, and awkward courtships. I really recommend this book to anyone wanting an easy fun book to read.
