If you love fall, cuteness, and free things (and live in the Salt Lake area), then Gardner Village needs to be on your bucket list for every October.
They don’t always charge for parking, but they were when we arrived this year, so we just parked down the street a little bit and walked (because I’m a cheapskate and try to avoid spending money at all costs) = free!
There are darling fake witches posed in comical ways everywhere you look. They even have a fun witch scavenger hunt for the little ones.
But beware, there are also real witches flocking walkways as well (muahhahahaha).
About half of the children are wearing their Halloween costumes, so don’t be afraid to get a little extra use out of those things.
Browse the unique shoppes (my ultimate favorite is Storybook Nook). Bring a lunch and feed the ducks.
And don’t forget to visit the free petting zoo, “The Farm” – it may be small and smelly, but the kids don’t mind, and that smile is worth all the poop smell in the world! (You can also pay for your child to take a pony ride, which is adorable, if you are into spending money and stuff.)
Most important, enjoy the overwhelming cuteness, and get your witch on!
