Pig and a Jelly Jar

Every year for the Hubs’ birthday, I take him to a restaurant we’ve never tried before, and this year it was Pig and a Jelly Jar, and it did not disappoint.

Not only is the name really unique, but so is their main dish –  chicken and waffles (I also opted to have an egg on top).

Um, breakfast for dinner? Check! Comfort food? Check! Crunchy and salty? Check! Sugary and syrupy sweet? Check! Amazing? Double check!

They recommend also adding bacon and hot sauce, but I’m probably the only person in the world who doesn’t like bacon and I opted not to use the hot sauce either, but if you are into those kinds of things, you should definitely add them.

Also, the waiter was a riot. You enter a stranger and leave best friends.  We are hanging out next Tuesday… okay, not really. But he was great.

Three Whims: Pig and a Jelly Jar, must try Salt Lake restaurant Three Whims: Pig and a Jelly Jar, unique and tasty Salt Lake restaurant - chicken and waffles
